Birthday Dinner Get Together

June 11, 2008 2:50 pm

I know it’s late notice — but if you’re free for dinner on Friday @ 7:30 come on by to Ming’s Diner (on Taraval between 31st & 32nd Ave) afterwards we’ll head a few blocks south to Fire Fly Sports Bar for a few drinks. (No, I’m not getting wasted)

Let me know if you can make it, so I know how many tables to reserve. It’ll be very informal and no more than $15/per person. Last year we had two humongous tables and hence a whole floor to ourselves. I don’t want/need any presents, but since I’ve been asked by a few people to put a list together, I’ve combined made a wishlist at amazon. It was really made for an upcoming housewarming party but it’ll do.

I’d have taken more photos but I didn’t know very many people there and my battery was running low pretty quickly.

Joe’s Visit from Qatar

April 21, 2008 9:40 pm

198 photos totaling over 700mb. That’s the result of our week of debauchery, thanks to Joe, who visited for a week or two from Qatar. I probably should have separated each night out into separate galleries, but I’m too lazy. Thanks to Neil who provided quite a few of these photos. I however made no effort to differentiate them from mine. Click the more link below to access the entire 17 page gallery. Sorry to make you scroll. I’ll come up with a better solution eventually. I have to say, I really don’t remember a lot of this stuff happening. I guess that means I had fun! Thank goodness for cameras, there’d be no evidence otherwise. ^^;;

A SKY HIGH KINDA BIRFDAY

April 1, 2008 12:36 am

Trampolining is a lot more tiring than I remember. Despite having laundry list of dos and don’ts and not being able to play dodge ball, I had a ton of fun. The images in the gallery below were taken by The Chairman and these were taking by a number of people with Faithy’s camera.

I was able to do one flip before they told me it was against the rules.

NYE 2008

January 2, 2008 11:00 pm

Cheese!

What a fun new years party. Thanks to Anna and Ning for providing excellent service as always and for getting us a table. Neil supplied most of the photos taken that night. I was slacking off — I probably should carry my small camera for situations like this. It’s hard to maneuver right with a range finder style camera.

It was such a special occasion that even the Chairman made an appearance!

I can only speak for myself but I could probably say that fun was had by all. If I learned anything from NYE, it’s that nine bottles of cheap champagne is bad news. (-_-);;  I’ve had enough to last the entire year!  I’m glad I got that out of my system early this year.

There are 88 photos in the gallery below. Enjoy.

Marilyn’s Broomball Birthday

December 15, 2007 11:27 pm

I only heard about Broomball a few weeks ago — and though it took me a while to believe that it actually existed, the idea intrigued me enough to sign up. Unfortunately I left late and got stuck in traffic, so I got there late, but I got to play photographer for the day and I think I was lucky enough to get a few awesome photos.

Please keep in mind that I just got this camera, and I haven’t learned it’s in and outs so some of them are a bit blurry and could be much better.  All of the on ice photos were taken through a telephoto lens.

Mmm Oysters

November 14, 2007 1:18 am

A bunch of us made it up north to Tomales Bay and feasted on some awesome oysters. Here is a gallery for your amusement. A video is forthcoming.
