Don’t throw away your old games!

August 27, 2007 2:46 pm

As an addendum to a conversation I had this weekend — DO NOT THROW AWAY YOUR OLD GAMES!

Yes, they’re old, and you’re never going to play with them again — that doesn’t mean they’re not worth something — sometimes they are, but they’re worth keeping around for nostalgia’s sake.

If you don’t have room to store them and really want to get rid of them, I’ll happily them off your hands! I’ll even give you fair market value if you have something exceedingly rare. (^_^)

Anything from the Atari 2600 era up to the newest stuff — just not PC games.. though I bet you could find someone that’d be interested in that stuff.

Outdoor upgrade avaliable?

August 21, 2007 10:40 am

I feel like I should explain why I haven’t updated the site or really gone out or done anything for the last few weeks. In the last three months or so:

Twisted ankle at Bay to Breakers

Hit by car getting off of the K MUNI street car on Ocean Ave.

Exposed my kneecap when taking a spill on my bike on Market St. (ER visit required)

On top of that, I’ve been carless for two months, and it’s still being worked on, so this continues for a week or two, hopefully it finally gets fixed.  This past weekend I spent a lot of time in a convertible, so now I’m sun and windburned too.

I think being outdoors isn’t for me, maybe theres an upgrade or something I can take advantage of? (o_O);;

I guess this is what you get if you mix Initial D (頭文字(イニシャル)D with the Power Rangers.

Walking to the shops ‘damages planet more than going by car’

1:03 pm

Walking does more than driving to cause global warming, a leading environmentalist has calculated.

Food production is now so energy-intensive that more carbon is emitted providing a person with enough calories to walk to the shops than a car would emit over the same distance. The climate could benefit if people avoided exercise, ate less and became couch potatoes. Provided, of course, they remembered to switch off the TV rather than leaving it on standby.
