Mazda Rotary Capsule Toys

April 29, 2007 4:56 pm

A few months ago I somehow found myself at the Great Mall, and while trying to avoid the plethora of baby carriages and kids in their long white t-shirts and Nascar attire, I came upon an unlikely sight. In a hall that was not have a whole lot of foot traffic, an island full of capsule toys — these were on the top, but none were available below. If you see any, let me know or help me pick up a set! (^_^) I’m pretty amazed that there are actually toys made of classic rotary cars .. kids are still into the SA22C RX-7?

DJ Crazychan Launches a blog!

April 23, 2007 12:09 am

Since I know you guys aren’t bingo gangster enough and no longer visit gingerklick.com anymore, I figured I’d cross post Eric’s announcement of his blog at djcrazychan.com.

If any of you want to set up something similar, let me know and I can help you out. It’s not a big deal to setup the software for you. Why bother with xanga or myspace if you can have your own site on a domain name of your choice? (^_^)

An Update on My Last FC3S RX-7 Turbo II

April 15, 2007 11:27 pm

I guess I never really told everyone that I sold my last FC3S Turbo II. People are still surprised to hear that it’s actually gone. It was a great car but it went to a new owner that trust to take good care of it, and is actually using it for what it was built for — the track. I was lucky enough to take it out for lapping sessions several times while it was in my custody and it handled it wonderfully. After eight years of RX-7 ownership I feel like it’s time to move on. I’m fairly certain that I will keep my FD3S, as I don’t use it as a daily driver.. when/if I actually need a car to commute in, I’ll likely get an RX-8 to supplement it. I know a lot of people hate it, it’s slow, it’s ugly, etc. I love it though. Watch this video and perhaps you’ll change your mind too.

So I got this message on AIM from the new owner, and I thought I’d share some photos he sent over.

Aren: Your FC awsome lol
Aren: thanks for the great car
Me: sweet, no problem
Aren: took it out to drift battle

Faithy's Birthday

April 4, 2007 1:01 pm

It’s been a long, long time since I’ve gone bowling, but after a somewhat awkward start, I think I did okay. I don’t think I completed a single game, but in each I reached 100 by the 8th frame. If I recall correctly, this is better than I’ve ever done — I’ll attribute that to Wii Sports Bowling. One thing for sure though — it has convinced me that I have to stretch more.

Faithy’s Wonder Woman throughly defeats Stan’s Spiderman for the title of best birthday cake of 2007 thus far.. though Stacy’s cake from ‘06 was good too.

I’ve compiled all the photos from today, along with all the photos from Q1 2007 into this gallery.

My camera sucks in low light situations.. (-_-);;

Critical Mass

April 2, 2007 1:15 pm

As a vehicle owner who resides in San Francisco, I do realize that it was a bit hypocritical for me to have gone on a Critical Mass. Though it does state Many do not ride in opposition to anything: they simply enjoy an opportunity to cycle socially and in safety, or in a boisterous and celebratory crowd.” which is the umbrella I’d find myself under. I certainly had a lot of fun, and even spotted Jebus — who knew that he rides a bike?

While I did witness a few minor altercations, the San Francisco Chronicle published an article that recounted events completely backwards from my experience. For the most part, everyone was jovial — I don’t think the majority of the riders were out to cause trouble — in fact, the mood of the crowd was definitely friendly. There were several cars that unfortunately got stuck in the mass, and no one cared — unless the driver was trying to push their way through by running bikes off the road. While I wasn’t around at 9 during this minivan incident — I know for a fact that there wasn’t thousands of bikers surrounding it, by then the group had split up and well, there couldn’t have been more than thirty left. Their story doesn’t check out..

I had fun though. With all this controversy I’ll probably skip the next one though.
