Someone broke into my car.. definately another RX-7 owner. (T_T)

July 29, 2005

Whoever did it, knew exactly how to open the car from the outside, and dive in for the ECU and remove it semi-cleanly.

Parts taken are of no use to any other cars, and are probably not to be resold. When the light comes out tomorrow, I’ll check to see if anything is broken or missing.

I miss the old days, when you could trust your fellow RX owners, but now that the entry price of an FD is in line with a Civic.. andy kid can buy one and that brings crime like that, I suppose.

Numismatic Convention Photos (o_O)

July 27, 2005

I wouldn’t have normally gone, but it was free, and across the street from my work. Here are some of the highlights:

$5,000 and $10,000 bills:

Back from the Dead (>_<)

July 24, 2005

I haven’t updated for a while, but I had a valid reason. Look away if you’re easily grossed out. (o_O)

IMG_1077

I got bitten by something.. there was an argument wether it was a spider or mosquito, but in any case, I lost the ability to squeeze my hand and my hand was so puffy that my knuckles were invisible. Everything is fine now, thankfully. (Still itchy though)

Happy 72nd birthday, Mikiko. Thanks for the BBQ invite, everything was delicious. You’re always welcome to come to mine.

IMG_1080

That’s a happy squirrel.

I don’t have the appropriate photos, but congratulations to Alex and Linda on their engagement, same to Bonnie and Dennis who got married this weekend. (finally)

Lots of things have been going on the last week or so. Thanks to Eldo for introducing me to the Zeitgeist — which definitely has the best burger and home fries you can get for five dollars. I wish I took a camera that day.. flying cornbread and drunken Scottish chicks made for an entertaining evening.

If I learned anything this week, I learned that I need to carry my camera everywhere from now on.

Oh, and cheer up Mary! (Sami too!)

IMG_1070

A careless neighbor plowed into the back of my sister’s car while parking the other day, scored the paint pretty badly. I don’t see how someone could just drive right into another car, he wasn’t even parallel parking!

IMG_1088

Besides spending the day writing this long long blog entry, Stan and I spent several hours polishing my wheels. Since his driveway is so steep, we had to take the bumper to go up — this photo taken with the hazard lights on, looked pretty cool. It looks mean in this picture. (^_-)

Late Weekend Update (^-^)

July 11, 2005

I would have updated sooner, but this was a long weekend.

Congrats to Calvin on his win at Formula D this past Saturday, seeing that made the trip worth it. I sported my pink Puma Speedcats the whole day, and I lost track of how many complements I got. I’m gonna start wearing them more often despite how gay people say they are. (-_-);;

IMG_1053

You might be wondering, how do you top a fun filled day of drifting action? By watching an old guy hula at Hukilau of course. (No, not really) Food was good though. (Get the Ahi Poke)

IMG_1047

I’ve been getting a lot of people wondering why I don’t use my driveway — as you can see from this photo, this rear wheel got high enough to stick your foot under — reason enough not to even attempt sticking a lowered car inside. (-_-);; Too bad.

California IRS (o_O)

July 7, 2005

So I get a notice that I owe $5.13 or so on last year’s taxes, plus a whopping late fee of $0.15. Fine, no problem, I must have made a mistake on my return.

I put it down in my inbox so I can pay it later on, neglecting to notice they give you 14 days to pay it. Wow, they added another $0.03 late fee on it.

Not having used my checkbook in years, I had to dig for it, heck, they still say 199_ on them. So I waste my time filling everything out, making a trip to the post office et al.. and what do I find in the mail today?

A REFUND.

Guess how much? EXACTLY what I mailed in. Brilliant.

Next week I’m sure I’ll get a thing saying I owe $0.04 more because I’m late paying it off. Wonderful.

BBQ Mania! (^o^)v

July 1, 2005

For the first weekend in a long time, I actually have a whole weekend planned out days in advance. (^-^) Lets see my itinerary:

Saturday: BBQ
Sunday: BBQ
Monday: BBQ

None of which I know much about, I don’t even know if they’re lunch or dinner ones.. so I guess there is always a chance for multiple BBQs per day. (^_-)

I got a lot of questions about my previous posting, I’ll get around to writing something up when I have some time. I’m surprised people don’t know Bonk! (O_o);;
